Who We Serve

group photo100% percent of our residents are homeless women and children living in poverty. We cater to a specific demographic of the homeless population; all of our adult residents are recovering from addictions to drugs and or alcohol and increasingly we serve women suffering from mental illnesses, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and chronic health conditions.

St. Martin de Porres House of Hope has a nondiscriminatory policy in terms of disability, race and  sexuality, religious or political affiliation; however, we primarily serve minorities.

“In time women will do great things.” Mary Ward

When I arrived at St. Martin’s, I was very badly beaten, defeated and I had almost given up. I needed support, nurturing and encouragement.  I received all that and then some.  I am not the person I once was!
